# Hottest8

> Hottest8 (https://hottest8.com/) is a free, strictly SFW site that ranks the Top 8 most-followed women in adult entertainment among the creators we track, by combined public X + Instagram follower counts. It hosts no explicit content. 18+ audience.

## What the rankings mean
- Top 8: tracked creators sorted by combined score = public X followers + public Instagram followers on official accounts. These are follows, not unique people, and not a judgment of anyone.
- Rising 8: creators ranked by 7-day percentage growth in combined follows between dated daily snapshots. Not published until 7 days of history exist (earliest Oct 27, 2026). We never estimate.
- Coverage: a tracked set (currently 10 creators), not a complete census. Retired creators stay listed with a badge.

## Data source and update cadence
- X counts come from the X API; Instagram counts from Instagram. Each refresh is dated.
- Updated daily. If a refresh fails, the last verified snapshot and its date stay up.
- The `last_updated` field in rankings.json gives the data date.
- Current data: X counts checked Oct 21, 2026 ~9:10 AM CT (X API); Instagram counts checked Oct 20, 2026 ~8:30 PM CT (Muse research), carried forward until the next Instagram check. Exact timestamps are in rankings.json (`as_of_note`, `sources`).
- Dated daily snapshots: https://hottest8.com/snapshots/YYYY-MM-DD.json (first: 2026-10-20).
- Combined X + Instagram figures are follower totals summed across two platforms, not unique people.
